This pole was holding up a spiral stair case in McKinney, Texas. Over time the thin material had rusted out and become unsafe. To remedy this I cut out the rusted out section, removed the old base plate, and installed new beefier parts. The new pipe is 3/8" thick and the base plate is 1/4" thick. This repair will last for years to come.
